  1. Use the Data Entry Aids Preferences pane to speed up entering data into Now Contact.

  4. Data Entry Aids radio buttons: Click to turn data entry aids settings on or off.
  5.  
  6. Automatic Address Entry checkbox: Check to enable entering addresses automatically.

  8. Phone Format pop-up menu: Choose your preferred format for entering telephone numbers. Along with standard formats, you can choose None, or define your own format. Choosing Define opens the Define Phone dialog box.

  10. Field-level data entry aids scrolling list: Highlight an item, then specify your settings for automatic capitalization and tabbing in.

  12. Automatic typing checkbox: Check this box to enable automatic typing.
  13.  
  14. Tabbing in pop-up menu: Choose your preference for the item highlighted under Field-level data entry aids: selects contents, put the cursor at the beginning, or put the cursor at the end.

  16. Auto-Cap pop-up menu: Choose your preference for the item highlighted under Field-level data entry aids: the first letter of each word, all letters, or none.
